Les résilientes-Panorama 14

  • DESCRIPTION

    « Dear A,
This morning, I remember that we are allies and it makes me want to stay in bed. I get up and go to find some bear’s garlic whose flowers are poisonous. You made the bed whilst I was gone, dug up the ground and put extra earth at the end of the bed. The slope has nearly disappeared, and so I will no longer slide in the night. I look at the specks of earth and dust that you are stamping on. I dream a lot at the moment: in one dream you are pregnant and become the child you are carrying, and then it stops. »
Audrey and Chloé are camping in a clearing in the middle of the forest. It is in this green hole that they survive. The end of time has arrived but it is of no importance. Gathering food and preparing meals keeps them busy all day...
Extracts of a diary mixing memories in an off-screen voice and the reading of present events retrace the heroines’ journey.
Les Résilientes move in a virtual natural environment: plants and fruit seem to fade away. Reminiscences of nature that has disappeared or is sick, three dimensional objects try to re-exist, to breathe life and become fables, tales of new relationships: between the girls themselves and between us and nature. The story of the affect that each one maintains with the living, whether it be animal or vegetal.
